Coaching biography of Mark V. McDonnell
Coach Mark McDonnell is an avid masters competitor in the sports of triathlon, distance running, track & field, cross country running and road cycling. He has coached these sports professionally since 1993. He is an honors graduate of Rutgers University. His current and previously-held certifications include:
- USA Triathlon—Level 1
- USA Track & Field—Level 2 (Endurance)
- USA Cycling—Expert Level
- National Strength & Conditioning Association—CSCS & NSCA-CPT
- USA Weightlifting Sports Performance Coach
- American Red Cross—Lifeguarding Instructor, CPR for the Professional Rescuer & Sports First Aid
- Active Isolated Stretching Flexibility Technician
In 2004, Mark led the inaugural triathlon program for the Northern Florida chapter of Team In Training.
From 2006 through 2009, he was privileged to coach Boys & Girls Cross Country at Rice Memorial High School in South Burlington, VT.
